Multi-factor Authentication
Frequently asked questions.

What is Multi-factor Authentication (MFA)?

Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) refers to an additional layer of security that is added to the login process and editing sensitive information in your profile.

What will change for me?

Not much! When MFA is turned on for your account, you’ll be asked to verify your preferred email address and phone number.

From there, we’ll ask you how you’d like to validate your information - either by email or SMS/Text message

You’ll be sent a code to enter, just like when you log on to a bank website or sign up for a service like Uber.

On the rare chance that a code doesn’t come through, you’ll be able to request a new code to be sent after 30 seconds.

How often will I need to use MFA?

When using the website, you’ll need to use MFA to sign in if you choose not to select “remember me” on the log in form. You’ll need to use MFA when logging into the iOS or Android versions of the ID90 Travel app for the first time.

Whenever you are making changes to sensitive information on your profile, we’ll ask you to verify your account so we can make sure everything is on the up-and-up.

Why is this being added?

We want to make sure there is as little chance as possible for someone to misuse the accounts of our members. By adding MFA to ID90 Travel, we are able to keep pace with online security best practices.
